Green Power: Linking Past Legacies and the Future of the Game
Green Power goes far beyond the fairways in South Carolina. Green Power is electricity generated by renewable resources like solar, wind and decomposing garbage in selected landfills. Santee Cooper and South Carolina's electric cooperatives, including Palmetto Electric, capture that sustainable power and distribute it to businesses, individual homes and major events like the RBC Heritage. And because these resources are replenished naturally, Green Power helps protect our beautiful state while reducing our carbon footprint. This is a green we can all be proud of.

Proceeds Build Additional Renewable Generation
Proceeds from Green Power sales are used to build additional renewable generation and have been used to build 28 Green Power Solar School demonstration projects, 25 of which partner with South Carolina’s electric cooperatives. The other three are direct Santee Cooper customers or receive their electricity through a municipality we serve. Green Power Solar Schools are funded by our customers who purchase Green Power.
